Apple officially announces its spring event

CNBC said that Apple sent the media invitations to attend the spring event that will be held on March 8, in which it is expected to announce a new iPhone SE at an economical price.

The event is called Peek Performance and will be streamed online on YouTube as well as on Apple’s official website. Apple has therefore continued to hold and broadcast its events and broadcasts virtually since the start of the coronavirus pandemic in March 2020.

This is Apple’s first event since last October, when it held the event in which it announced the new MacBook Pro laptops. Last year, Apple held an event in the spring of last April, in which it announced iPads with advanced specifications, as well as the iMac computer.

The company is likely to announce an iPhone that supports connectivity to 5G networks at a low cost, and it is also expected that the phone will be equipped with a fingerprint recognition sensor. Apple is also expected to announce the iPad, according to media and analyst reports.

Apple currently provides the iPhone SE, which it had announced at the spring event of 2020, and sells it for $ 399.

The next tablet at the event is expected to be an updated version of the iPad Air, according to Bloomberg News. The last version of this device came in October 2020, and it is sold for $ 599.

The company is likely to release the iOS 15.4 update, with the addition of several new features such as facial recognition to unlock the phone while wearing a mask, as well as the ability to accept contactless credit card payments through the phone without using the device in which the card is swiped inside stores.
