Apple Music Classical is now available for download!

After much waiting, Apple finally released today — a little earlier than expected — the Apple Music Classicalyour streaming app made for classical music lovers.

Announced at the beginning of the month, the app was already available on the App Store before, but listed as pre sale. Now, Apple Music subscribers (except Voice Plan) can install it at no additional cost and enjoy the over 5 million tracks of the genre present in the service – as long as they have an iPhone with iOS 15.4 or higher (no iPad for now).

As we mentioned earlier, the idea behind Apple Music Classic is to present a simplified interface for those who want to immerse themselves in the world of classic works. You can search by composer, work, conductor or even catalog number and play songs losslessly (up to 192kHz/24bit of Hi-Res Lossless), in addition, of course, to tracks with Spatial Audio.

Furthermore, the app also lets you read editorial notes regarding composers and check out descriptions of their main works. Famous composers, in turn, have their own high-resolution digital portraits with color palettes and artistic references from the classical period they represent.

According to the company, Apple Music Classical features more than 700 expertly crafted playlists at launch. The app has a more mature look that tries to please both beginners and people with experience in the world of classical music.

Apple Music has a catalog of more than 100 million songs and 30,000 playlists — many of them supporting Spatial Audio (Dolby Atmos) and in very high definition, with audio Lossless. In Brazil, there are three types of subscription: University (BRL 11.90/month), Individual (BRL 21.90/month) is Familiar (BRL 34.90/month). If you are not a subscriber, you can try the service for free for one month. It is also part of the company’s Apple One subscription package.
