Apple makes it easy to find gigs with Apple Music and Maps. Users in select major cities can take advantage of it today.
A few days before WWDC, Apple launches new features for Maps and Apple Music apps. Among them, the concert discovery feature will allow users to easily find music events nearby.
The Maps app offers more than 40 guides highlighting the best places to enjoy live music in major cultural centers around the world. You can also find upcoming concerts near you. Apple Music Guides can be accessed directly from Maps using Shazam’s concert discovery feature.
Ten cities selected so far
For now, this feature is available in ten cities: Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, San Francisco in North America; Berlin, London, Paris and Vienna in Europe; Tokyo, Melbourne and Sydney in the Asia-Pacific region; and Mexico City in Latin America.
In Apple Music, check out the all-new Set Lists feature. It highlights a selection of major tours, allowing you to listen to the track lists and discover the associated productions. This feature is also built into Shazam. It is possible to take advantage of these new features today.
With these features, Apple Music and Maps make it easy to discover the local and international music scene. Explore and stay informed of upcoming gigs effortlessly.
