Apple maintained vice leadership of the smartphone market in the 2nd quarter of 2023

Just like the computer market, the smartphones is showing the first signs of recovery following six consecutive quarters of decline, according to new worldwide data for the second quarter of this year.

Numbers released by Canalysfor example, show that the global smartphone market has fallen 11% in the last three months compared to the same period last year.

As for manufacturers, Samsung kept the lead with 21% of the market, while Apple took second place with 17% do market share — so that both practically maintained their market shares from the second quarter of 2022. The ranking also includes the Xiaomi (13%), a OPPO (10%) ea vivo (8%).

Data shared by Counterpoint Research show a similar scenario, so that Samsung took first place with a market share of 22%, while Apple remained in second place, once more with 17% — once more followed by Xiaomi (12%), OPPO ( 10%) and alive (8%).
