Apple MacBook Air (2022): pre-orders start tomorrow

In addition to new software, Apple also unveiled the Apple MacBook Air (2022) at WWDC 2022. This can be pre-ordered from tomorrow.

Next to the new one MacBook Pro is this MacBook Air the only other new model with the M2 processor. This scores with faster performance and supports more RAM. While the M1 ended with 16 gigabytes of RAM, the M2 can be upgraded to up to 24 gigabytes of RAM. In the entry-level configuration, however, you still only get eight gigabytes of RAM in combination with a 256 gigabyte SSD.

The design is also new, with the most striking thing being that the wedge shape is now a thing of the past. Nevertheless, the MacBook is still very thin at 11.3 millimeters. Other innovations include the MagSafe connector and the notch above the display, which now houses a better camera. There are also changes to the color options. Midnight and Polarstern are new, gold has been removed from the range.

Apple MacBook Air (2022) Pricing and Availability

As mentioned at the beginning, pre-orders for the device will start tomorrow, at 2 p.m. to be precise. The price for the entry-level configuration is 1499 euros. From July 15th it will be delivered and available to all interested parties.
