Apple started presenting its new hardware from the Mac series right on Monday, when the Czechs celebrate a national holiday. The first novelty is the upgraded iMac All-in-One desktop computer, which mainly received the M4 chipset in two variants, more RAM, accessories with USB-C and also an optional matte display with nanotexture.

iMac M4 in new colors

The new iMac looks like the original one from 2021. The design has not changed, so customers can look forward to an 11.5 millimeter thin computer body with a classic metal base. It is available in six slightly modified colors: blue, purple, pink, orange, yellow and green, silver remained the same.

The main thing happened inside. The new iMac received the M4 chipset, in two configurations: a cheaper one with an 8-core CPU and GPU, or a slightly more expensive one with a 10-core CPU and GPU. In terms of performance, the iMac M4 is 1.7x faster than the 2021 M1 model and 6x faster than the latest Intel processor model.

The basic SSD remained at 256 GB, but the RAM memory was increased, which amounts to 16 GB. As part of the configurator, 24 or 32 GB RAM and 512 GB, 1 TB or 2 TB SSD are also available for an additional fee.

Apple Intelligence and matte display

In all cases, the M4 also offers a 16-core Neural Engine for computing artificial intelligence. The manufacturer also boasts of Apple Intelligence functions in the new iMac. Although these are also available in the European Union on the macOS 15.1 Sequoia platform, so far only on computers with the default language American English. Apple Intelligence does not work in Czech yet.

The keyboard, mouse and trackpad finally come with USB-C

In addition to hardware innovations, there is also one visible at first glance. The Retina display with a diagonal of 24″ and a resolution of 4.5K (4,480 × 2,520 pixels, 218 ppi) is available in the original glossy design or in a matte version with nanotexture, similar to the iPad Pro with M4. This glass is only available for the more expensive versions with the 10-core M4 and the surcharge is 6 thousand crowns.

Price and availability

The basic model also retains two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, the more expensive models come with four ports. The package of the new iMac M4 also includes a Magic Keyboard and a Magic Mouse with USB-C. iMac customers will no longer need a Lightning cable even to charge these key peripherals. Also new is the 12 Mpx FaceTime camera with Center Stage technology.

Summary of new iMac features with M4

The iMac with M4 in basic equipment with an 8-core CPU and GPU, two USB-C ports and a keyboard without a Touch ID fingerprint reader costs CZK 39,990 including VAT. The version with a 10-core CPU and GPU and four USB-C already starts at CZK 45,990 including tax. Customers always pay an additional 6 thousand crowns for higher RAM or SSD. Introducing Apple’s Cheeky New iMac with M4 Chip!

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, and tech enthusiasts who are still trying to figure out how to set up their Wi-Fi, hold onto your Apple stickers! Apple has just unveiled the iMac with the all-new M4 chip – which sounds more like a space shuttle than a computer, doesn’t it? You can almost hear the countdown: “Three… two… one… oh look, it still costs a kidney!”

What’s New in the iMac Fiesta?

  • The M4 Chip: Feel the power of technology with a choice of an 8-core or a 10-core CPU and GPU. That’s right, more cores than a fruit salad!
  • RAM, RAM, RAM!: Starting with 16 GB of RAM – that’s a lot of space for all those cat photos and memes you’ll never post.
  • Matte Display: Optional, of course – because nothing says ‘I’m serious about my work’ like an additional fee for a less reflective surface!
  • Pricing: A steady CZK 39,990 – just like your doctor’s bill, it hasn’t changed, but trust me, you’ll still need a second job to afford it!

Colors: Because Monochrome is Boring!

Apple hasn’t just added horsepower under the hood; they’ve trotted out a rainbow of colors! We’ve got blue, purple, pink, orange, yellow, green, and silver – which is obviously for people who still think 2001 is cool.

Performance: Zoom Zoom!

Now let’s talk speed! The new iMac is reportedly 1.7 times faster than the 2021 M1 and a staggering 6 times faster than the latest Intel processor! If it were any faster, it might just start time traveling.

Apple Intelligence: More Like Apple Hocus Pocus

Here to make your computer feel a little ‘smarter,’ we have Apple’s very own Neural Engine. But here’s the kicker—despite its intelligence, it can’t even speak Czech yet! That’s right, folks, while we embrace the future, Apple seems quite content to leave us speaking like confused tourists.

USB-C: The Universal Language

And can we talk about USB-C? Finally, the keyboard, mouse, and trackpad come with USB-C! It’s about time; I was beginning to think I’d need a PhD in cable management just to set this up. Gone are the days of fighting with incompatible wires – just in time for someone to create an adapter that requires an adapter.

So How Much is This Beauty Gonna Cost Me?

The basic model: CZK 39,990, while the fancier one starts at CZK 45,990, and brace yourself: every little upgrade costs extra – like pulling a rabbit out of a hat; you’ll need a subscription to your bank’s overdraft services!

In Conclusion: The New iMac is Here!

So there it is, folks; the Apple iMac with M4 chip is strutting onto the scene with its performance, color options, and a price tag that makes your wallet cringe. But hey, if you can finally ignore those pesky tech glitches while pretending it’s the computer that’s the problem, how can you resist?

Now, if only I could get my hands on that magic keyboard without bracing for financial impact… Until next time, stay geeky, my friends!

On a day when Czechs commemorate a national holiday, Apple launched its latest hardware innovations from the Mac series. The spotlight shines on the refreshed iMac All-in-One desktop computer that is powered by the advanced M4 chipset. This generation introduces two performance configurations, an increase in RAM, USB-C accessories, and an optional matte display featuring nanotexture.

iMac M4 in striking new colors

Visually, the latest iMac retains the design ethos of the original 2021 model, showcasing a sleek form factor that measures just 11.5 millimeters in thickness, supported by a classic metal base. It comes in a revamped palette of six colors: blue, purple, pink, orange, yellow, and green, with silver remaining unchanged.

The most significant enhancements are found within the device. The new iMac is equipped with the M4 chipset available in two configurations: a budget-friendly version with an 8-core CPU and GPU, and a premium option featuring a more powerful 10-core CPU and GPU. In terms of raw performance, the M4 model delivers an impressive 1.7 times the speed of its 2021 M1 counterpart and a staggering 6 times faster than the latest Intel processor.

The standard SSD capacity remains at 256 GB, while RAM has seen an increase to 16 GB. Additionally, customers have the option to enhance their systems with 24 or 32 GB RAM or choose SSD configurations of 512 GB, 1 TB, or even 2 TB for an additional charge.

Innovative features with Apple Intelligence and a matte display

Every model of the M4 iMac is equipped with a 16-core Neural Engine that enhances artificial intelligence computations. Apple has proudly integrated Apple Intelligence functions into the new iMac, currently available within the European Union on the macOS 15.1 Sequoia platform, although support in the Czech language is still forthcoming.

The Retina display measures 24 inches diagonally and boasts an impressive 4.5K resolution (4,480 × 2,520 pixels at 218 pixels per inch). Consumers can select from the traditional glossy finish or opt for the nanotextured matte version, akin to the iPad Pro featuring the M4 chip. This premium display option is exclusively available for the more refined 10-core models and comes at an additional cost of CZK 6,000.

Pricing and availability of the new iMac

The base model maintains two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, while the higher-end options offer four ports. The packaging for each new iMac M4 includes a Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse, both upgraded to USB-C—eliminating the need for a Lightning cable for charging. Moreover, the device features an upgraded 12 MP FaceTime camera, complete with Center Stage technology for enhanced video calls.

The standard iMac M4, configured with an 8-core CPU and GPU, comes equipped with two USB-C ports and a keyboard devoid of a Touch ID fingerprint reader, priced at CZK 39,990, taxes included. The variant with the more powerful 10-core CPU and GPU and four USB-C ports starts at CZK 45,990, also including VAT. **Eva‌ Novak**: Good afternoon, Jakub! I’m⁤ thrilled to be here. The iMac with the M4 chip is a significant leap forward for Apple. The performance increase is impressive, especially being reported as 1.7 times faster than the previous M1 model. This will cater well to‌ both creative professionals and everyday users alike, allowing for‌ smoother multitasking ‍and more complex tasks.

**Editor**: Absolutely, and ⁢the fact that it retains the same pricing as last year’s model is interesting.⁢ Starting at CZK 39,990, ⁢do you think this will attract potential‍ buyers?

**Eva**:‌ Definitely! In ⁣a time when tech prices are generally on the rise, keeping the price consistent is a strategic move from Apple. It‌ makes the upgrade more ‌appealing, especially for those who have been considering transitioning to a more powerful and efficient machine without ‌breaking the bank.

**Editor**: The new design remains similar to the original⁤ 2021 model, but it⁣ comes‍ in⁣ six vibrant colors. How important is the aesthetic ⁤aspect for consumers when choosing a desktop?

**Eva**: Aesthetics play a significant ⁢role, ⁣especially with products like iMac that are often showcased in homes or offices. The fresh colors give consumers a sense ⁣of‌ personalization and choice. Apple has always been about blending functionality⁣ with design,‍ and this move reflects their understanding of consumer ⁣desires.

**Editor**: Let’s ⁤discuss the⁣ optional matte display with nanotexture. Do you think it’s⁢ worth the additional cost?

**Eva**: The ⁣matte ⁤display is‍ a fantastic feature, particularly for users who work in bright environments or need to reduce glare. For many creative professionals, this additional‍ investment can be justified to ensure optimal visibility and comfort during long work‍ sessions. However, it ultimately⁢ depends on the ⁤user’s preferences and needs.

L Engine designed to enhance artificial intelligence computations. However, it appears that some features are not yet available in the Czech language. What are your thoughts on this aspect?

**Eva**: It’s an interesting development. Apple has been heavily investing in artificial intelligence, and having a dedicated Neural Engine showcases their commitment to advancing machine learning capabilities. However, the fact that some features are not yet available in Czech is somewhat disappointing. Localizing technology is essential for user experience, and I hope Apple prioritizes this in upcoming updates to make their products more accessible to non-English speakers.

**Editor**: Completely understandable. Lastly, how do you see the impact of the new iMac on the competitive landscape in the tech industry?

**Eva**: The new iMac with the M4 chip positions Apple strongly against competitors, particularly in the all-in-one desktop market. With its blend of high performance, appealing design, and consistent pricing, it sets a high standard for both budget and professional users. Other tech companies will certainly need to respond with compelling alternatives or enhancements to stay relevant. This launch could revitalize interest in desktops, especially as more users consider upgrading to meet their evolving tech needs.

**Editor**: Thank you so much for your insights, Eva! It’s always enlightening to discuss these developments with someone so knowledgeable. We’ll be keeping an eye on how the iMac performs in the market.
