Apple lance iOS 15.6, tvOS 15.6 et watchOS 8.7

It’s release day for Apple systems! Tonight are launching iOS 15.6, iPadOS 15.6, tvOS 15.6, HomePod internal system version 15.6, watchOS 8.7 as well as macOS 12.5. As we approach the next big major releases that will be available this fall (Apple has already presented iOS 16, tvOS 16, watchOS 9 et macOS 13), it’s not so much regarding implementing new features anymore and it’s mainly regarding bug fixes… but not only.

For iOS 15.6, there are four new features: a new option for the TV app that allows you to resume playing a match in progress and pause, rewind or fast forward, the correction of a bug in the Settings app that showed storage full when it wasn’t, fixed a bug that prevented Braille devices from working properly within the Mail app, and fixed a Safari bug that might cause a tab to return unexpectedly to the previous page.

As for tvOS 15.6, Apple does not specify what the content of the update is: in any case, no major changes were revealed during the beta phase. On HomePod, firmware version 15.6 brings support for Siri voice recognition in Mandarin, Cantonese, and Japanese, in addition to stability improvements. When it comes to watchOS 8.7, there’s not much to get your teeth into either: Apple says the update includes improvements and security fixes, but we don’t know more regarding it. instant.
