For many people, the phone is an indispensable alarm clock, so some users began to complain on social networks that the alarms set on iPhone phones did not sound.
One TikTokker complained that she had set “like five alarms” but they didn’t go off.
Apple has confirmed that it is aware of the issue, but has yet to explain what causes it and what users can do to prevent sleepwalking.
It’s also unclear how many people have experienced the problem, or whether it’s specific to certain iPhone models.
The issue was first reported by NBC’s Today Show.
In the meantime, residents can try some simple solutions.
One is to protect once morest human error, so double-check your phone’s alarm settings and make sure the volume is turned up.
However, some people believe that the iPhone’s “attention-getting feature” may be to blame.
When this feature is active, the iPhone can check if a person is paying attention to their device and, if so, automatically take action, such as lowering the volume of alerts, including alarms.
The feature is available on the iPhone X and later, as well as the iPad Pro 11-inch or iPad Pro 12.9-inch, Apple says.
Apple says it hopes to fix the issue soon.
But until then, people may have to dust off the old-fashioned but trusty old alarm clock.
