Apple is working on new iPad Pros for 2024

Ross Young has been talked about again. The Apple specialist analyst connects the reports concerning the upcoming production of the brand. According to its analyses, the iPad Pro M2 released in October will allow Apple to last all year 2023 without launching new models.

The apple brand would be preparing a new version of iPad Pro whose release is scheduled, according to Young, for the beginning of the year 2024. Still according to its latest report on the subject, the iPad Pro will retain two versions, one 11.1-inch and one 13-inch.

New iPads without major new features

Ross Young specifies that the two screen sizes will evolve slightly (today 11″ and 12.9″). This change could be explained by the arrival of OLED technology in the screen panel. Young explains that this screen size nuance might not impact the chassis size, giving an impression « borderless ».

Today the two iPad Pros, released just a month ago, are still great devices and Young doesn’t expect the next generation to be much different. It does not provide any details on major internal changes except for the arrival of the M3 chip, which is scheduled for release next year.

Apple may present this new processor with a generation of MacBook Air and Pro. She did it last year for the M2 chip at WWDC presenting two hardware products during this week dedicated to software.

iPad Fold: the long-term solution for Apple?

When it comes to iPads, Apple is expected to continue with its current lineup. The iPad mini, whose end has been announced for a few years, continues to be part of the products available and according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, a next generation is in preparation on the side of Apple.

The Apple brand has also been working for years on an “iPad Fold”, but the product is not ready yet and Apple is reluctant to enter this foldable market. The Cupertino company should provide some answers when it returns to the front of the stage in March or April.
