The well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo asked around in Apple’s supply industry and found interesting news: Apple wants to bring a new HomePod onto the market. The Smartspeaker should get a new design, during which there should hardly be any technical changes. Unfortunately, there is no information as to whether the device will be as big as the HomePod Mini or as big as the old HomePod.
The solution probably lies in between. Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman reported independently of Kuo that Apple is planning a new HomePod. This should be between the old HomePod and the HomePod mini. It would also be more expensive than the mini but maybe not quite as expensive as the original HomePod.
Apparently Apple is also working on a version that is equipped with a camera and a display. Amazon has such a device in its range, but we are pretty sure that it is not a successful product. Most people for whom something like this comes into question have tablets or notebooks that they can also take with them everywhere.
