Apple launches iPhone 16 in four different versions. All get shutter button, brighter ultra-wide angle and A18 chip with support for AI – Apple Intelligence.
The iPhone 16 series available with screens from 6.1 to 6.9 inches in the top model Pro Max. All are equipped with a dedicated trigger button.
The new ultra-wide-angle camera has a larger aperture (f/2.2 instead of f/2.4) which should provide better low-light performance.
In the Pro models, the resolution of the ultra-wide-angle camera will be 48 megapixels, but with the possibility of merging pixels to obtain a lower resolution with minimal loss of quality. It will also be possible to save these images in raw format.
All iPhone 16 models have a main camera of 48 megapixels with a mode where the car is cropped to 24 megapixels to get the same section as a normal lens. The function is called fusion camera.
The brightness is f/1.6 in the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. In the Pro models, the brightness is slightly lower (f/1.79), but this is compensated by the larger sensor size.
The iPhone 16 Pro gets the same periscope telephoto camera with 5x magnification that was introduced in the iPhone 15 Pro Max last year. This camera replaces the previous telephoto camera with 3x magnification.
iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are sold in several pop colors.
