Apple iPad Air, a new 5G tablet boosted by the M1 chip

The M1 chip built into iPad Air features an 8-core CPU that boosts performance by up to 60% and its 8-core GPU delivers 2x the graphics performance of the previous model.

The 12MP ultra-wide-angle front camera with Frame Center automatically keeps the subject in frame as it moves. When the subject is joined by other people, the lens detects them and zooms out to integrate them into the conversation. The 12MP wide-angle rear camera captures 4K photos and videos.

Advanced connectivity and 5G

Thanks to its 5G connectivity, the iPad Air can reach 3.5 Gbps. The tablet is eSIM and Wi-Fi 6 compatible. The USB-C port is now twice as fast as the previous generation, with data transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps. The new iPad Air comes in a range of colors: space gray, starlight, pink, mauve and a new shade of blue. The tablet displays 3.8 million pixels and its brightness is 500 nits. The Liquid Retina display is 10.9 inches. Touch ID is now directly integrated into the top button of the iPad Air.
