In another edition of Apple at WorkMaçã shared a success story in use of Macs in a Brazilian company. This is the Interone of the most popular digital banks in Brazil and the first in the country to offer a completely fee-free checking account.
Em one pageApple detailed how Inter’s choice of Macs — which was thanks to the computers’ security, performance and simple management — has helped the fintech “bring banking services to everyone through digital resources”.
“Security is one of Inter’s main pillars of value. We chose the Mac for its robust security features and simple ecosystem that, together, reduce IT workload”, commented Guilherme Ximenes de Almeida, general director of technology at the bank.
With a team of more than 4 thousand people, Inter reduced energy consumption by 50% and support requests for Macs by 80%. The decrease in support requests was due to the adoption of Jamf’s mobile device management solution, which replaced a complex and segmented system, allowing Inter to better integrate identity management resources to simplify configuration and support.
The investment in Mac also contributed to the elimination of hardware stock at Inter, as the durability and longer life cycle of Apple computers compared to those previously used allows them to operate for longer at the company.
