Apple headset expected to launch only at WWDC23, says Gurman

Citing anonymous sources, the journalist Mark Gurmanyes Bloombergstated that Apple would have “postponed” the launch of its first mixed reality headset (virtual and augmented) from April to June.

As we know, this is the month in which Maçã traditionally holds the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC)event in which it reveals its new operating systems and sometimes also some new devices.

Gurman himself, last month, suggested that Apple would launch its glasses before WWDC23, but Apple would have taken the decision to postpone the launch following the product had some flaws in hardware and software, which still need to be resolved.

As there have been several references to a system called “xrOS”, which would integrate the glasses, the event would be a good opportunity to present it and let the developers be in charge of creating their incredible apps.

Even so, those first glasses are expected to cost around $3,000—too expensive for most consumers. Even so, rumors suggest that it will bring innovative technologies such as advanced hand and eye tracking, very high resolution screens, various cameras and sensors and, to further enhance it, the M2 chip.

In the past, the journalist — who has very reliable sources — has already hinted that another cheaper model would be being developed by Apple and would hit the market in 2024.

Excited to see those Apple glasses? ????
