Apple has released the final version of iOS 16.2 – Wylsacom

Apple has released the final version of iOS 16.2 for all supported devices. Let’s talk regarding what’s been added.

Freeform’s real-time collaboration app is born. You can add text, sketches, images, tables, and so on to the virtual canvas. The app is also available in iPadOS 16.2 and macOS Ventura 13.1.

Apple Music has a karaoke mode – Sing. The volume of the vocal part can be adjusted with a slider, and each word of the song is highlighted in real time as the performer says it.

The feature works on iPhone 11 and later (except iPhone SE 2). True, the karaoke mode is not available on all tracks.

iOS 16.2 introduces an option for end-to-end encryption of iCloud data. Now extended protection is available for categories:

  • backups;
  • iCloud Drive;
  • message backups;
  • a photo;
  • reminders;
  • notes;
  • voice notes;
  • Safari bookmarks;
  • Siri commands;
  • tickets to Wallet.

The feature is in beta and will be available to everyone in early 2023.

The iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max now have an Always On setting that lets you hide wallpapers and notifications.

And the last of the interesting is the limitation of AirDrop. The “For all” mode now works no more than 10 minutes, then it must be activated once more.

iPadOS 16.2 and macOS Ventura 13.1 have almost identical innovations, except that the karaoke mode did not appear on the Mac.
