Apple has already sold around 200,000 units of the Vision Pro

According to information obtained by MacRumors with an anonymous source, the Apple would have already sold around 200 thousand units do Vision Pro — that is, half of what was originally forecast by the company for the entire year (at least according to rumors for 2023).

On pre-sale since January 19th, Maçã’s mixed reality (AR/VR) headset is available, for now, only in the United States with prices starting at US$3.500 (version with 256GB of storage). Even with the high price, a few hours following the pre-sale began, the device’s delivery deadlines jumped to March.

The famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, it’s worth remembering, he even said at the beginning of last week that Apple had sold, up until that moment, something around 160-180 thousand devices. Before that, he had commented that the company would have set aside somewhere between 60-80 thousand units of the headset for its launch.

This number, however, might still change considerably in the coming days, since, as also recalled by the MacRumors, the first independent reviews of the Vision Pro will start appearing today. In other words, this wave of content not curated by Apple might very well make interest in the device grow even more (and, consequently, its sales).

Still in pre-sale, the Vision Pro will be officially launched this Friday (2/2) in all Apple stores in the US (including the Apple Store Online). The expectation is that stocks of the headset in these stores will not last long either.
