Apple Fitness+ now available to everyone, even without Apple Watch

Apple’s Fitness+ service is undergoing major changes with the release of iPhone 14 and iOS 16.

Apple takes advantage of the formalization of iPhone 14 and sound Apple Watch Series 8 to update son service Fitness+. This one, launched in the United States in 2020, is available in France since 2021. But if you had to own an Apple Watch to be able to enjoy it, the Apple brand has just broken down this barrier.

Indeed, from September 12, Apple’s sports training service can be used directly from an iPhone, even if you do not have an Apple Watch. But beware, the service is still chargeable (9.99 euros per month or 79.99 euros per year).

For this price, you can access a catalog of sports training (more than 3,000 sports and meditation exercises), led by real coaches. It is then possible to follow these workouts on an iPhone, an iPad or even an Apple TV. In the absence of a watch, the Fitness+ application in iOS 16 will estimate the calories burned in real time.

Apple will also offer new podcasts “Place à la marche” to encourage subscribers to walk, with stories of personalities deemed interesting such as Prince William or Leslie Jordan. New pilates exercises will also see the light of day as specified the press release.

Note that a slew of products was presented during the keynote:Apple Watch SE 2 to Apple Watch Series 8 et Watch Ultra passing through the iPhone 14 Pro et 14 Pro Max and the iPhone 14 and 14+.
