Apple is in a class-action lawsuit over its Powerbeats’ power issues.New York Resident Alexander Vivar a few days ago with Powerbeats Pro Apple has been accused of a possible design flaw that prevented the earphones from charging properly in the storage box. It is said that the potential reason for not being able to charge normally may be that the charging contacts between the headset and the box are too easy to make poor contact. The result is either that the earphones on one side won’t be able to “continuously” charge, or the power can be easily drained. In Vivar’s view, Apple misleads users by promoting the device’s 9-hour battery life and ignores known issues as a fraud.
Vivar’s lawyers pointed out that the Powerbeats Pro’s charging problems may be due to both the design of the charging case and the lack of strength of the “ear pads”. In addition, it also pointed out that the waterproof and sweat-proof functions promoted by Apple are also impossible, and the sweat on the earphones may corrode the charging contacts. The plaintiff’s request is for Apple to “correct” the problem as soon as possible and pay compensation for affected users and various damages. If the lawsuit is won, consumers in eight states outside New York, including Georgia, Michigan and Virginia, will be able to receive compensation.
Apple has not yet responded to the matter.
