After the release of reports regarding problems with the battery life of Apple Watches rotating the watchOS 10.1At the end of last month, Maçã confirmed the existence of the bug and said that a fix will be released through a future software update.
More than draining the battery, many users have also reported that their watches are overheating during recharging, which can even prevent it from completing.
Following numerous reports, Apple shared a memo with its authorized service providers last Saturday, seen by MacRumorsin which the company claimed that a fix “will arrive soon”.
The problem, it is worth noting, is affecting a large number of Apple Watch users and models — including the most recent (such as the Apple Watches Series 9 and Ultra 2) as well as the oldest (such as the Apple Watch Series 4).
Unfortunately, Maçã did not provide further details regarding when this fix will be released — which might be included in watchOS 10.2, already in testing, or as part of an emergency update, such as watchOS 10.1.1. It’s worth noting that Apple has already promised other fixes via software updates, so this shouldn’t take long.
