Turnaround

The agreement between the two companies might be considered surprising, given that it hasn’t been long since Rivos accused Apple of trying to prevent its employees from moving to startups.

According to the company, Maçã would be afraid of any threat of legitimate competition in the market, so actions like the one in 2022 would be a way to “scare and send a message to its employees”.

At the time, the company also cited Apple’s non-compete agreement, which was designed to “reduce employee mobility and competition.”
