A Apple published today in its channel not YouTube not Canadaa new commercial highlighting the Emergency SOS via satellite. Entitled “Pooched”the video is 38 seconds long and shows a man lost in the snow with his faithful dog.
While the pet “remembers” the moments with his guardian, he uses his iPhone to contact the emergency department using the resource. When the man finally manages to call for help, he knocks on the glass and the puppy returns its “attention” to its owner. At the end, the phrase “Relax, it’s an iPhone 15” is displayed.
Emergency SOS via satellite is available on iPhones 14 and 15. To use it, you must be in one of the 16 countries and regions where the feature works, such as the United States, Canada and Portugal. When being in an area without a mobile network signal, the feature allows you to contact emergency services using a satellite connection, including automatically, if the iPhone detects an accident or fall.
The function is free to use for two years following purchasing a compatible iPhone. At the end of last year, however, Apple announced that it will give another year of free use to iPhone 14 users who activated them by the date of the announcement (11/25/2023). The resource has already helped several people in trouble.
