A few months following two Apple Stores were robbed in Europe in less than 24 hours, another case came to light, this time in the United States. More specifically, the Apple Burlingamelocated in Californiahe had US$100 mil in stolen products last Tuesday morning (10/24).

According to Kron4, the crime was allegedly committed by five suspects, who arrived at the store and took an unspecified number of Apple products. They then fled using a BMW X5 SUV without license plates. No employees, including security guards, were injured during the incident.

The city police even spotted the car containing those allegedly responsible for the crime. The police apparatus, however, was unsuccessful in stopping the vehicle. The suspects, to date, remain at large.

The stolen devices obviously have not been activated, and have probably already been remotely blocked by Apple, which makes their use unfeasible. It is likely that the devices will be dismembered and their parts used, along with cables and chargers.

Stories involving Apple Store robberies are reasonably common and often involve colorful plots. In April of this year, for example, a store was robbed through a hole in a neighboring store, while, also in California, customers followed and filmed people robbing another store.
