When Apple presented all the advantages that the new Stage Manager for iPad, many users were enthusiastic regarding this great feature. However, many of them were disappointed when the company mentioned that it was only for iPads with M1 chip.
This measure left out two iPad Pros launched in 2018 and 2020 for not having an M1 processor. However, today Apple has released a new beta of iOS 16.1 that brings very good news for these models.
It’s regarding the iPadOS 16.1 beta 10 whose main novelty is the possibility of using Stage Manager in the iPad Pro of the year 2018 and 2020, those with SoC A12Z and A12Xa news that made many users happy.
But since it is a beta version, it is not free of bugs, since iPadOS 16.1 beta 10 does not currently allow the possibility of being able to connect an external screen and use Stage Manager to be able to have up to 8 apps open.
The good news is that Apple has already assured that the function of being able to connect an external display will be available once more in future versions of the operating system, so it will only be a matter of time before you can use Stage Manager with an external display on iPads with M1.
