According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of TF International Securities, Apple may finally add a new cooling system to the iPhone 17 lineup. All iPhone 17 models will use a graphite sheet, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max will have an additional VC vapor chamber cooling system.
Here’s what we know
These innovations should significantly improve the heat dissipation and performance of the new devices.
Graphite sheets and VC cooling help distribute heat evenly and reduce heat from key components of the phone, such as the SoC. This prevents overheating and ensures stable operation of the device. In particular, the iPhone 17 Pro Max will be able to better handle advanced AI functions thanks to 12 GB of RAM, while the other models will receive 8 GB.
The iPhone 17 series is expected to include four models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Slim, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The iPhone 17 Slim will replace the iPhone 17 Plus and will feature a smaller size and thinner design.
The design of the new models will likely remain similar to that of the previous versions.
