A few months ago, the idea that Microsoft was going to launch a specialized dongle for gaming began to take hold, but today reports tell us the complete opposite to the disappointment of fans.
It was the same Phil Spencer from Microsoft who gave an interview to The Wall Street Journal, where he stated that this dongle was in development until this fall, but following Microsoft and Samsung started collaborating together, this was put on hold.
This contrasts with the latest financial reports from Microsoft itself, where we can see that the number of Xbox Cloud Gaming subscribers has skyrocketed, with more than 20 million active users in their lifetime.
So, it seems that if we want to play with this service in the cloud and we don’t want to use a console, we are going to have to simply get a Samsung television from the year 2022 onwards, because we are not going to see the dongle in the near future.
