App Store: new rules will apply to developers on June 30

Apple will implement the decisions taken at WWDC 2021 on June 30, 2022.

Postponed for several months, the measures taken during of WWDC 2021 will come into force at the end of June. These measures should facilitate the deletion of an account or personal data stored on an application downloaded from the App Store.

Concretely, this means that the developers will have to make the options allowing these deletions more visible and accessible. Apple talks regarding solutions that are supposed to be “easy to find in apps“. In addition, apps offering paid online group services will also be required to use Apple’s in-app payment system.

All information related to this application is available on the site d’Apple. Unless further postponement, it seems that June 30 will be the final date for the entry into force of these new measures.
