App lets you add widgets for albums to your Home screen

If the default widgets of Apple Music (or your preferred streaming service) are not enough for you, it might be a good idea to invest in third-party options — such as Albumsby Adam Bell, which lets you add your favorite albums as widgets to your iPhone or iPad Home screen.

These widgets act as shortcuts of sorts, letting you quickly take you to the album page in question in your music app — eliminating the need to search for your favorite albums each time you want to listen to them.

You no longer need to go through the steps of opening an app, searching for an artist, fighting network connections, finding the album, choosing a song to start… just tap them on your home screen, play and enjoy.

Promising to bring back some feelings of collecting and playing vinyl records, the app has a very simple operation, but at the same time it allows you to customize the widgets with different styles, colors and configurations.

To start building your collection, just tap the “+” icon (at the top), choose a streaming service, search for an album and add it with a simple tap. Within the app, there is a search field to make it easier for you to easily find the albums already added to your collection.

To add an individual Album widget, simply add the Albums widget in the traditional way, choose the option “Album” and then edit the widget to choose the desired album.

But there are also options for automatic widgets, such as one that displays the “Album of the day” and another that displays random albums throughout the day.

Best of all, Albums is completely free on the App Store. No in-app purchases or subscription plan to unlock new features. ???? Cool, huh?
