The apartment by architect Beatriz Quinelato, located in Vila Nova Conceição, in São Paulo, is certainly one of the most well-thought-out projects that have ever passed through here. Every corner of the home was planned down to the smallest detail to be elegant and, above all, functional. In order for it to be exactly the way she envisioned it, she bought the property while it was still in the blueprints and, thus, was able to plan it from scratch.
The greatest desire of the architect and her husband was an apartment that was perfect for receiving friends and connecting people. For this, the living room was expanded for the L-shaped balcony with the removal of the frames and placement of retractable glass panels next to the guardrail. A beautiful sofa measuring five meters on each side and a wine cellar for 270 bottles completed the project.

Casa de Valentina: How did you choose the sofa?
Beatriz Quinelato: We chose the L-shaped sofa with 5 m on each side and put two armchairs in front so people can look at each other and connect when they are sitting down.
CV: Was the veranda fully integrated?
Beatriz Quinelato: We preferred to eliminate the barbecue that was in the corner of the porch. With the removal of the window frames, the column at the corner of the L gained prominence in the living room.
CV: What is one detail that you like in the living room?
Beatriz Quinelato: The concave design converses with the sections of the sofa, which are convex, and the white paint adds clarity.
CV: Was there a preference for any color?
Beatriz Quinelato: I like to work with many textures, natural elements and few colors. Here the green stands out.
CV: You put a lot of plants behind the couch. Did you already have experience with this?
Beatriz Quinelato: When I graduated, I worked with landscaper Benedito Abbud. I always put plants in projects because it does me a lot of good!
