Aoun and the Vietnamese Minister of Construction co-chair the work of the 12th Algerian-Vietnamese joint commission in Hanoi

ALGIERS – Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Ali Aoun, co-chaired in Hanoi (Vietnam) the work of the 12th Algerian-Vietnamese joint commission with the Vietnamese Minister of Construction, Nguyen Van Thang, said Monday , a press release from the ministry.

The work of this commission “is part of the dynamic marking bilateral cooperation between the two countries, the objective being to strengthen the important relations and strengthen the historical ties which unite them”, adds the press release, stressing that “the representatives of the ministerial sectors participating in this commission will have to assess the level of cooperation and examine the possibility of developing it in various areas.”

On the sidelines of the commission, Mr. Aoun was received by Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, with whom he examined ways to strengthen the partnership and bilateral cooperation, particularly in the commercial field, the document specifies.

During the meeting which is part of the “strengthening and consolidation of bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries, particularly in the commercial field”, the two parties welcomed the “historic bilateral relations which unite them, emphasizing the need to strengthen and develop them in various areas,” the statement added.

The work of the Algerian-Vietnamese joint commission will continue until Wednesday, with the two parties expected to carry out an overall assessment of bilateral cooperation and examine new perspectives relating to partnership and investment, with a view to breathing new life into bilateral relations.

Mr. Aoun will chair, on the sidelines of the work, the Forum of Algerian-Vietnamese businessmen.
