Once once more the archers of AOP HERMI and their coach Manthos Stremenos return with the top titles in their quivers.
Immediately following winning the title in the Panhellenic men’s and women’s championship, it was the turn of the Greek Youth Championship held in Kozani on 24-25/2/2024.
Among the 29 best athletes in Greece, Patrini’s Elena Stremmenou dominated with a strong lead in the classification round, noting the best performance of the competition. She easily passed the elimination rounds reaching the final and with a score of 7-3 easily won the title of Greek Olympic archery champion, which is rightly considered the most demanding and competitive category.
Also, Giorgos Papakonstantopoulos was once more crowned champion of Greece in the compound bow for teenagers, who still holds the pan-Hellenic record in the small categories and counts many victories on the podiums of the indoor and outdoor championships.
On the 2ndTHE D. Kyriakopoulos and Anastasia Alexopoulos, who just last week won the Women’s championship, won the silver medal in the mixed team compound bow, while both climbed to the 3rd place on the podium following also winning the bronze medal in their individual competition .
At 4the the mixed Olympic archery team of Lygidakis/Stremmenou also reached a ranked position, who were defeated in the short final by shoot off following the draw with the opposing team.
On the 5ththe position in his individual race was brought by Nikos Lygidakis who overturned his poor appearance in the classification round.
On the 5ththe and 6the Stolakis Angelos & Stolakis Andreas also placed, giving valuable points to their club.
Anna Tsiuchniuk and Nicole Karagouni gave promising performances in their first championship match.
