Anzoátegui FC announced the signing of seven players to strengthen its squad for the second phase of the Futve 2 League, which starts this Wednesday, August 6.
The board of directors of the Anzoátegui team reported that the footballers Alexis Rodríguez and Williams Pedrozo (defenders); Jesús Figueroa (midfielder); Aquiles Ocanto, Luis Martell, Joel Infante and the Colombian Jhon Ramos (forwards), will join the squad for the second half of 2024.
The club’s top management indicated that the additions come with the objective of assembling a competitive group in search of the established sporting goals, among which stands out the promotion to the first division of Venezuelan soccer.
In the organization’s statement they also indicated that the reinforcements are already available to coach Juvencio Betancourt, for the start of the second part of the Futve 2 League.
It is worth noting that Anzoátegui will face Atlético La Cruz this Wednesday at the Club Barcelona Sports, for the 16th round of the silver division of national football. The 15th round was supposed to be played on Wednesday, July 31, but due to the situation of post-election protests in the country it was suspended, although there was never an official announcement from the league.
Reinforced “buffalos”
Dynamo Puerto FC also announced several reinforcements to the squad ahead of the resumption of the Futve 2 League. In total, eight players arrived to give depth to the team led by Luis “pájaro” Vera.
One of the main additions is goalkeeper Jorge Graterol, brother of Vinotinto Joel Graterol. Also joining are Francisco “Pacho” Ramírez, Argentine striker Joaquín Tisocco, Danny Hernández, Omar Montaño, Eliézer González, Arian Moreno and Christopher Montaña.
The “buffalos” will visit Marítimo de La Guaira next Thursday, August 7, at the Camurí Chico stadium in the coastal city, for matchday 16 of the Futve 2 League.
