Anzoátegui FC and Dynamo Puerto FC advanced to the semifinals of the Liga Futve 2, after winning the matches with Marítimo de La Guaira and Deportivo Miranda, respectively.
Those led by Alexis Jordán fell 1-0 against the Litoralenses during their visit to the Camurí Chico Sports Center, for the second leg of the tie. However, they took advantage of the advantage they gained in the first leg (2-0) to win 2-1 on aggregate and advance to the round.
The “búfalo” team tied 1-1 at the Arnaldo Arocha stadium in Los Teques and the key against the Mirandinos had to be decided on penalties (in the first leg they tied without goals). In the round from 12 steps, the Portocruzanos were more effective in execution, in addition to a great performance by goalkeeper José Febres, and won 4-2.
tight duels
Anzoátegui had a tight duel against a red-green team that constantly sought to at least equalize the series, after going up 1-0 in the 6th minute of the match with a goal from David Guevara.
However, goalkeeper Josué Agüero had a full afternoon and, except for the play where the Guaireño goal came, he set a wall in his goal. He even saved a penalty from Robin Ramos in the second half and drowned out the home team’s goal cry on several occasions, to protect his team’s advantage.
Dynamo starred in another close match with Deportivo Miranda. In the first half they were ahead on the scoreboard with a goal from Harold Cortes at 39′, but Sergio Unrein restored equality at 53′.
In this key, parity forced them to go to the definition in the penalty round and there they prevailed with goalkeeper José Febres saving Miranda’s last attempt.
Next crossings
Now Anzoátegui will face Trujillanos FC and Dynamo will face Yaracuyanos FC in the semifinals of the tournament. The winners of both keys will meet in the final, where a place for promotion to the first division of Venezuelan soccer will be at stake.
