The “old European warhorse” Jean-Claude Juncker looks at his own mistakes with regard to Putin in an interview. He also talks regarding the historical forgetfulness of younger generations and his kisses with Trump.
We are receiving alarming news from Slovakia: a social democrat has been elected president who is calling on Ukraine to negotiate peace with Russia. German politicians such as CDU foreign expert Röttgen are calling for Slovakia to leave the EU. In your opinion, what is the best way to deal with Putin sympathizers in European executive chairs?
I was also a Putin sympathizer for a long time, until he invaded Crimea. Since then, however, I have not been a sympathizer at all with those in the European Union who, once morest the common decision, give the impression that they are more on the side of Putin’s regime than on the side of the attacked Ukraine. What can you do regarding it? There’s actually not much you can do regarding it other than turning off the receiving devices. The European Union’s position must be clear. We are once morest the Russian invasion, we are once morest the violations of international law.
