Chris Hemsworth and Anya Taylor-Joy, protagonists of Furiosa, provided a touch of humor when presenting the second trailer of the film in Spanish, as the actress of Argentine origin helped her co-star who was trying to share some words for the Latin audience . The film, which is emerging as one of the most anticipated productions of 2024, features not only the action and drama that characterize the original saga, but also a look into the past of the character Imperator Furiosa, previously played by Charlize Theron in Mad Max : road rage.

“I’m Chris Hemsworth and I’m here with Furiosa herself, Anya Taylor-Joy,” the Australian actor begins in his introduction. Immediately, Chris was interrupted by the young star: “Yes, yes, leave it to me,” he says friendly. “Hello, I’m Anya Taylor-Joy. “Chris and I want to present to you the new trailer for Furiosa, which will be epic and full of action.” Finally, he asks the audience to take a look at the unreleased clip, while the Thor interpreter ends with a nice comment: “That’s what I was going to say.”

Spanish is a language very present in the lives of both actors. On the one hand, Chris seeks to improve his skills in the romance language due to his relationship with Spanish actress Elsa Pataky. For her part, Anya was born in Miami and grew up between the cities of Buenos Aires and London, the latter being where she settled until she was 16 years old. Later, when she chose the path of acting, she pursued roles in the Hollywood industry until she made her big debut in 2015 with the celebrated horror film, The Witch.

The next installment in the Mad Max franchise centers on Furiosa, who, as a child, is captured and torn from her home, setting off a series of events that lead her on a tireless quest to return home. The plot of the feature film intensifies with the appearance of Dementus, a warlord in command of a large horde of motorcyclists, played by Chris Hemsworth. The latter establishes a central conflict in the story.

Focusing on Furiosa’s empowerment and tireless fight to reclaim her life, the plot delves into the character’s resilience and strength, elements that Anya Taylor-Joy has expressed fervently value and defend: “From the second I read the script, I just met this person. “I felt fiercely protective of Furiosa, and fiercely protective of her interests,” the actress confessed in conversation with Empire magazine.
