But his wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma says that Kohli was ill before this match. Anushka said this in a note shared on social media following congratulating Kohli’s century. ‘Playing with such presence of mind despite illness. You always inspire me.’ Anushka wrote on her Instagram story.
The Indian player played at the crease for eight hours in the scorching heat of Ahmedabad. This is one of the longest innings of Kohli’s career. Kohli also dedicated this century achievement to Anushka.
