Nearly 110 tonnes of cocaine seized in 2022, 43.4 tonnes for the first six months of 2023. And, on July 16, the discovery of 7 tonnes in a shipment of bananas from Ecuador. Drugs continue to flood the port of Antwerp, the main gateway to Europe for cocaine produced in South America. Explanations with Kristian Vanderwaeren, head of the Belgian Customs and Excise Administration, met near Brussels North Station, on the 27th floor of the tower that houses his services.
