Antonio Giovinazzi “I got the feeling of the new generation F1 machine” / Haas F1 team F1 Italian GP Friday free practice[F1-Gate.com]

Antonio Giovinazzi will start from the Haas F1 team in the first free practice of the F1 Italian GP. He is happy with his job, he said.

Ferrari contract driver Antonio Giovinazzi’s dispatch to the Haas F1 team is said to suggest a replacement for Mick Schumacher, whose contract with the Ferrari Driver Academy expires at the end of this season.

Antonio Giovinazzi appealed with a performance of 0.3 seconds behind Kevin Magnussen, who is currently driving the team in the new generation F1 machine he drives for the first time.

“It was a great experience to be back in a Formula 1 car and it was my first time in this new car,” commented Antonio Giovinazzi.

“I think the session went well. We did all the laps we planned and got a feel for the car, the brakes and the tyres, so I’m really happy with the job.”

“Next time it will be in Austin, but Monza is a low downforce track here, and Austin is a different type of track because it has high downforce and a lot of high speed.”

“It was a good first time for the car and the team. I would like to thank Haas and Ferrari for giving me this opportunity and look forward to the next one.”
