On the night of this Friday, August 8, the former presidential candidate and leader of the Lápiz party, Antonio Ecarrireported that he was attacked by the attorney general Towing William Saabduring his appearance before the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ).

The alleged verbal aggression by the prosecutor against Ecarri arose after the Lápiz leader presented to the TSJ a “constitutional review appeal” against the process carried out by the Electoral Chamber, following the conflict with the results of July 28.
The appeal seeks to resolve or clarify the powers of that chamber in this matter, which is the responsibility of the National Electoral Council.
“The Electoral Power must exercise its autonomy, assume its role and not shirk its responsibilities behind the Supreme Court“, he said.
