Rituals for the beginning of the year
To start 2023 with positive energy, you can also implement the following rituals and exercises for personal growth and emotional well-being during this last month of the year.
- Self appraisal: Write the results of the year that ends. This analysis helps to establish points of improvement and strengths so that in the year that begins you can explode and improve. Also, the journaling -writing with the intention of growth- has positive effects on stress management.
- Set an intention or goal for the year: following the self appraisal You can set a goal for the year that begins. Do you want to improve some aspect of your life? Do you want to keep your social circle the same way you have in the past? Knowing where you want to go helps you find the path to reach it.
- Organize and clean your spaces: take advantage of this new beginning so that you enter a new cycle without any type of load. Let the energy flow in all the spaces of your home, an orderly space helps reduce stress and improves the mood of any person.
- Rituals for abundance and prosperity: To attract abundance you can do an energy cleanse with a censer or sahumerium of basil, rosemary and garlic. Go through all the spaces so that everything is impregnated with this new energy and to clear any blockages that may have remained from the previous month. Regarding prosperity, while you blow a handful of cinnamon powder at the entrance of your home or workplace, say out loud: “When this cinnamon is blown, abundance will come to stay. When this cinnamon blows, abundance will live here.” Do not pick or clean cinnamon for one day. To attract money and abundance you can make use of the following affirmations: “I am a magnet for money. The money is coming my way.” or “the universe loves me and always gives me the best”.
- Ritual for harmony: meditate using a candle (either blue, red or white) and focus your intentions with affirmations: “today I open myself to receive new blessings in my life” or “this new month vibrates with high, creative and positive energy”. According to a study carried out by Harvard University, implementing relaxation techniques such as meditation or yoga can help reduce the need for medical services by 43%.
