The anti-gang squad arrested a father and his son who were rioting in the street, after they were shot in Jdeideh.
According to a security source, a police officer working in the anti-gang squad of the regional security in El Jadida was forced to use his service weapon, in the early hours of Wednesday morning, August 28, to arrest a person who was in a state of strong agitation and endangered the lives of citizens and the safety of police officers by threatening a ferocious dog.
According to the same source, the anti-gang squad intervened in a residential area based on a request for help from citizens, after the suspect, his father, who was drunk, and a number of their companions deliberately caused chaos and material damage to three private cars that were parked in the area, which forced the police officer to use his service weapon and injure the main suspect, after he showed violent resistance and threatened the safety of citizens and police officers.
During this intervention, a police officer was injured as a result of being stoned. He was transferred to the hospital for treatment, while the main suspect and his father were kept under medical guard at the hospital awaiting judicial investigation, which is being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecution office, to uncover all the circumstances and details of this case, as well as to arrest the rest of the alleged perpetrators of these criminal acts.
