POLICIES related to anti-dumping duties (BMAD) will be released soon. As is known, related to BMAD, currently the Indonesian Anti-Dumping Committee (KADI) is investigating one of the imported ceramic tile products from China.

“For BMAD, the information I received was as soon as possible after the KADI report was released. I have not received information on the exact date,” said KADI Chairman Danang Prastal Danial when contacted on Monday (1/7).

Danang said that the investigation is currently entering the final stage and the results of the investigation will be out soon. “If there are no significant obstacles, the estimated release of the investigation results is this week,” he explained.

Danang further emphasized that KADI’s authority is limited to investigating goods accused of dumping and recommending the imposition of BMAD to the Minister of Trade (Mendag) if the goods are proven to be dumped.

On the other hand, KADI also admitted to having initiated an investigation related to the textile and other textile product (TPT) industries. “Currently KADI is coordinating with all related parties to collect evidence,” said Danang.

Previously, Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan stated that he would impose import duties. Even the value is up to 200% on goods from China. (Z-2)
