Anthony shines on debut, Rashford with double; The Devils beat the Gunners

Manchester: Manchester United followed the winning streak in the English Premier League. The Red Devils defeated Arsenal by three goals to one in the battle of the mighty. This is Manchester United’s fourth win in a row. This is also Arsenal’s first defeat in the league. Despite the loss, Arsenal are still at the top of the points table.

Arsenal, aiming for a sixth consecutive win at Old Trafford, made great strides from the start. Forward Gabriel Martinelli found the back of the net in the 12th minute but the goal was disallowed following a war check. The goal was disallowed when Manchester midfielder Christian Eriksen was found to have committed a foul. Arsenal also dominated possession. United also attacked whenever they got the ball.

United finally scored their first goal in the 35th minute. At the end of the advances, Anthony scored the goal following receiving a pass from Marcus Rashford. Anthony scored a goal in his debut match for Manchester. United led by one goal in the first half.

At the beginning of the second half, Anthony was withdrawn and Cristiano Ronaldo was brought on the field. The Gunners hit back in the 60th minute through Bukayo Saka. United took the lead once more within minutes. Bruno Fernandes’ pass was scored by Marcus Rashford for the Red Devils.

Rashford scored United’s third goal in the 75th minute. Arsenal tried to fight back but were unable to break through the United defence. With this, Ten Haag and his team won a great victory at Old Trafford.

This is Manchester United’s fourth consecutive win in the English Premier League. United are unbeaten following losing their opening two games. United are currently in fifth place with 12 points from six games. Despite the loss, Arsenal are at the top of the points table. The Gunners have 15 points with five wins and one loss.
