Anthony Davis and Kevin Durant named NBA Players of the Week

As you are used to now, Monday evening is notably marked by the revelation of the best players of the past week. And today, honor to Anthony Davis and Kevin Durant, who have been simply unplayable in recent days.

If the Lakers have really raised the bar over the last ten games, it is largely because Anthony Davis has once once more become the Anthony Davis who scares everyone. In particular over the week we just had, during which AD chained monster performances: 44 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks in the huge victory in Milwaukee, then… 55 points – 17 rebonds – 3 blocks yesterday on the Washington floor, with two wins to go 3-1 for the week. You have to go back to the 2020 bubble to see AD at such a high level on both sides of the court, or even to his New Orleans years. Clearly it’s a pleasure to see following the many sores and the last disappointing seasons of the monobrow.

On the other side of the country, Kevin Durant continues to do Kevin Durant. It’s still just as lethal, it’s still just as clean, it’s still just as effective, but you can’t get enough of it. On his last four games, KD turns to 33 points, 7 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1 steal and almost 2 blocks on average 65.4% shooting (lol), 37.5% from a distance and 92.3% in free throws. Crazy stats boosted in particular by his explosion once morest Orlando (45 points at 19/24 shooting) and his card once morest his hometown of Washington (39 pawns). Collectively, it also gives three wins in four games for Brooklyn, which now has a positive record (13 wins – 12 losses, 8th in the Eastern Conference).

There were quite a few candidates this week, notably Devin Booker in the West (39 points and 6 assists on average, 3-1 record) who might very well have won this small reward which is always a pleasure, but Anthony Davis and Kevin Durant clearly did not deserve. And something tells us that they will quickly follow up…
