Ansi Sojan clinches silver in women’s long jump at Asian Games: Thrissur’s local hero makes her mark

Thrissur: Congratulation poured in for Ansi Sojan who won the silver medal in women’s long jump at the Asian Games. Many people came to the residence to congratulate Ansi. In the play, Anne’s family, including her father, mother, brother and sister, receives Nadi’s love for Anne.

Ansi’s entry into sports came through the Natika Sports Academy while studying at the Natika Fisheries School. He was an individual champion in the National Athletic Meet during his school days. A graduate from Thrissur St. Thomas College, Ansi’s hard work and support from her family and locals led to her medal win for the country.

Father Sojan and mother Jhansi shared their happiness over their daughter’s first medal. They have to share regarding the support given by the country and its people. At the same time, the family expressed pain that despite having three ministers in the district, there was no response from the state government.

For the first time representing India in the Asian Games, the ANCI women’s team won a silver medal in the long jump. Ansi won the medal by jumping a distance of 6.63 meters in the fifth attempt.
