After two years of absence, the wedding fair is back in a large hotel in Anse Vata: party outfits, rooms to rent, caterers, photographers, videographers and other service providers are gathered in the same space to organize as best as possible the big day.
Saying yes is all well and good, but you have to organize the wedding first. At the show, twenty-four providers offer their products and services, a real source of information and inspiration for future brides and grooms and their families. “This is where everyone can come, there is what they need“, invites Léontine Tarall, mother of a future bride.
“I didn’t even know it existed, the wedding salonadmits Rémi Aubert. We may get married during the year, we look at what they offer, what they do in general… and the prices too“. “It’s also mainly to find the place, and get ideas“, explains Pauline Caudal, future bride.
A useful show for visitors, and also for exhibitors. For various reasons, the wedding fair did not take place in 2022 and 2023… Cancetta Norman, manager of the company Ccom which organizes events, clearly felt this absence. “This represents a good part of my turnover from salons. I get a lot of customers who didn’t know me. So for us it was a loss of income“.
No salon during these two years but weddings galore, a post-covid effect. “Planned weddings have been postponed over several yearsexplains Aurélie Piera-Bigeard, the organizer of the show. I think that people, during confinement, realized that they loved each other and that they had to get married“. According to Isee, the number of marriages jumped by 56% between 2021 and 2022.
