The Englishman is already taking medication and undergoing treatment to mitigate possible effects of the condition. Another recommendation from doctors, according to him, is to calm down and lead a more peaceful life, considering that stress is also a risk factor. “The watch will remain on the wrist,” he said.
Atrial fibrillation is a type of cardiac arrhythmia, which occurs when the upper chambers of the organ — the atria — do not beat in sync with the lower chambers — the ventricles. In more severe cases, the disease can cause heart failure or stroke.
Although it can be asymptomatic, atrial fibrillation can also cause palpitations, shortness of breath, tiredness, dizziness and fainting, as in the case of Croft.
