Another large-scale shooting occurred in the same state yesterday (23rd), two days following the mass shooting that left 11 victims in the western state of California, USA.
According to California authorities, seven people were killed in two shootings in the northern coastal city of Half Moon Bay on the same day.
Police arrested 67-year-old Chen Li Zhao as the suspect, who said a semi-automatic handgun was found in his vehicle and that the suspect had worked at one of the shooting locations.
The motive for the crime is still unknown.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom tweeted that the shooting was “a tragedy upon a tragedy”.
Earlier, in Monterey Park, California, 12 people, including the shooter, were killed in an indiscriminate shooting on the night of the 21st.
