“The government of Burundi has already delimited and bounded land that will house the airport, there are still donors to finance this project”, said the Minister of Infrastructure.

The project to build the international airport of Kabamba was analyzed by the Council of Ministers in 2017. A project which is added to that of the construction of the international airport of Bugendana analyzed in 2016.

The Ministry of Infrastructure took this opportunity to issue a warning to service stations, farmers and anyone working on the upstream of public roads, because they are the ones who damage the roads, he said. “Two regulatory texts in force are there and these people are called upon to respect them”, said Minister Déogratias Nsanganiyumwami.
