The Quebec manufacturer of electric buses announced on Monday that it has received another order for 50 LionC 100% electric school buses from school carrier Autobus Campeau.
The zero-emission vehicles, whose delivery is scheduled for the first quarter of 2023, will strengthen Autobus Campeau’s LioncC fleet in operation since 2016 on school routes in the Brownsburg-Chatham, Gatineau and Rigaud regions.
“This new order is proof that the future of school transportation is electric and we are proud to continue our collaboration with a major player like Autobus Campeau,” said Benoit Morin, Vice-President at Lion Electric.
“We are proud to continue the electrification of our fleet with these Lion vehicles because we see the advantages of driving electric, both for us, our drivers and for the students,” added Jonathan Lauzon, General Manager of Autobus Campeau.
