An explosion was heard in the Deken de Winterstraat in Berchem in the night from Monday to Tuesday. The Antwerp police confirmed this to Belga. The explosion was around 1:20 am and damaged the front door. No one was injured, a police spokesman said. It is being investigated whether it concerns an attack within the drug environment. An explosive device also went off in Merksem in the night from Monday to Tuesday.
